As you can see below our instructors have many years of experience playing the game and developing Baseball and Softball players.  They are knowledgeable with all aspects of the game whether it is pitching, hitting, fielding or base running, our team can help you develop your skills.  From beginning league play to the college level player we can improve everyones skill set so they can develop to their fullest potential.

KRIS FRANKO - Baseball Pitching, Baseball Hitting, Fielding & Throwing Instructor

Kris graduated from Meadowbrook High School as a four year letter-man, All-State Pitcher, and Ohio State-Runner-up in 1989.  

Kris went on to Ohio University in Athens, Ohio as a scholarship athlete.  While there he was a four year letter-man, 1991 MAC Champion and went to the College World Series Regional.  He was a 12th Round Draft Pick of the San Francisco Giants.

He played Minor League Baseball with the Giants from 1993-1995, playing in the Northwest League, Midwest League, and the California League.  Kris was the Giants Pitcher of the Year in 1993.  In 1995 he played in the Independent Northern League for the Thunder Bay Whiskey Jacks in Ontario, Canada.  He was picked up by the Montreal Expos in 1996 and played in the Florida State League.

He currently lives in Wheeling, WV with his wife and children where he coaches youth baseball and softball.  Kris was also a volunteer pitching coach for West Liberty University.

In addition to teaching the fundamentals of pitching mechanics he will also teach, age appropriately, fielding position, pickoffs, covering bases, strategies, and individual pitch mechanics.  He will also be available for fielding and hitting instruction.  Kris is a left-handed pitcher.

TRISTAN GRIMES - Baseball Hitting, Fielding, & Throwing Instructor

Tristan Grimes graduated from Westlake High School where he was a three-year letterman, two time 1st Team All Conference in Baseball and a two-year letterman in both Football and Basketball.  During his senior year the baseball team was ranked #16 in the state for D1.

He played travel summer Baseball for Force Ohio out of Westlake, Ohio.  He batted .400, lead the team in stolen bases and went forty-seven at bats without striking out.

Tristan attends Wheeling Jesuit University where he plays baseball as an outfielder.  He is majoring in Mathematics.

Tristan has experience as an instructor at numerous baseball camps and clinics.

CASSIE HOLSTEIN - Softball Fastpitch Pitching, Hitting, Fielding, & Throwing Instructor

Cassie is entering her junior year at Wheeling Jesuit University as an outfielder and slapper for the Cards.  She is originally from Millersport, Ohio.  Cassie is attending school to earn a communications degree.  In high school Cassie was a four-year starter and letter winner for softball while also lettering in track.

In Cassie's two seasons at Wheeling Jesuit, the lefty slapper has hit for a .379 career batting average.  In her sophomore season, she received First Team Mountain East Conference.  She finished with the second highest batting average in conference hitting a .400 with 18 stolen bases.  Cassie plans to continue her run the next two seasons with the Cards.

Cassie has given hitting lessons throughout her life.  Though she plays outfield for Wheeling Jesuit, she comes from an infield background, playing all positions in the infield since 12U.  Cassie helps with clinics and camps held at Jesuit and is excited to be able to help girls improve their game.

MOLLY WELSH - Softball Fastpitch Hitting, Fielding, & Throwing Instructor

Molly is a Wheeling Jesuit University softball player who has played Centerfield for the Cardinals the past two seasons.  She is originally from Bethel Park, PA.  In that time span she has collected over 103 hits, 48 runs, and 37 RBI's, 21 Doubles, and 21 Stolen Bases.  During those same years Molly accumulated multiple Mountain East Conference Awards including the 2016 Mountain East Conference Freshman of the Year Award while being named to the Mountain East All Conference 2nd Team in 2016 and 2017.  She owns a career .373 batting average which includes having the fourth highest batting average of .391 in the Mountain East Conference during the 2016 season.  Molly has extensive travel softball playing experience starting as a 9U player in 2007.  From 2013 through 2016 she was a player with a very highly respected travel team out of Buffalo, NY called the NY Diamond Girls.  While playing for the NY Diamond Girls Molly participated in the 2013 Triple Crown 16U Nationals in Myrtle Beach where the team had a 1st place finish.  In 2014 her NY Diamond Girls team played in the ASA 16U Eastern Nationals where her team finished in 2nd place.  In 2015 her NY Diamond Girls made it to the Final Four in the 18U Triple Crown Nationals in Myrtle Beach.  Finally in 2016 Molly and her NY Diamond Girl teammates were the National Runner Up in the 18U PONY Nationals.  In 2013 Molly set the single season batting average record at Bethel Park High School by hitting .509 while being named a Quad A All Section First Team Member by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and a Diamond Dozen All Star by the South Hills Almanac Advertiser.

Molly is a special education major who has a cumulative 3.70 GPA.  In 2016 she made the Wheeling Jesuit Deans List and made the Mountain East Conference Academic Honor.  This past year Molly repeated both of these academic feats.

Molly brings with her an abundance of fastpitch softball knowledge.  Whether it's hitting, drag bunting, soft slapping, hard slapping, swinging away, fielding, or throwing.  Molly knows what and how to teach these aspects of the fastpitch softball game.  Most importantly Molly is a great ambassador of the fastpitch softball game.  Molly aspires to be great mentor for all girls who want to have fun learning the game of fastpitch softball.
