As you can see below our instructors have many years of experience playing the game and developing Baseball and Softball players.  They are knowledgeable with all aspects of the game whether it is pitching, hitting, fielding or base running, our team can help you develop your skills.  From beginning league play to the college level player we can improve everyones skill set so they can develop to their fullest potential.

KAYLA SCHAUER - Softball Hitting, Fielding, & Throwing Instructor

Kayla attends Wheeling University where she is majoring in Athletic Training and played softball for 3 years, primarily as an outfielder.

She graduated from Cowanesque Valley High School in Westfield, PA.  Throughout her high school career, she played as a starting catcher, shortstop, and third baseman.  Kayla was a Four-year starter for softball.  Freshman year she was the starting catcher had a .365 batting avg. and a .484 OBP which lead her to being named the Freshman NTL All-Star Selection.  Sophomore year she was 2nd team All-Region selection.  Her Senior year she was an All-Region All-Star selection.  Kayla also lettered in volleyball, basketball, and cross-country.  She graduated 5th in her class, was a 4-year scholar athlete who participated in many other activities other than just sports.

Kayla played travel ball for 8 years.  She played for 6 years with New York Connection from Corning, New York.  They were Champions of the 12 & under Aunt Rosie's National Tournament.  Won West Seneca Magic Holiday Tournament that same year and placed Second in the ASA 14U NY state tournament.  Played in the North American All Sanctioned World Series in Columbus, Ohio (Finished in the Top 5) and competed several times at Berliner Park in Columbus, Ohio where she received Player of the Game four times.  They were ASA New York State Runners up.  She then played 2 years with New Era Diamond Girls from Buffalo, New York and was Pony National Champions in Virginia.

Kayla has attended several softball clinics at Penn State University, Lock Haven University, and Bucknell University where she learned softball fundamentals of throwing, hitting, and catching, along with speed and agility techniques.

Kayla has worked heavily as an Athletic Trainer with Wheeling Jesuit University men's soccer team and is currently working with WJU football team.  She has also worked with the wrestling, women's basketball, and baseball teams for Wheeling Jesuit University.
